Snuggling up on the couch in front of the Christmas tree and a warm fire is one of my favorite Christmas pastimes… especially with family, watching Christmas movies! Funny enough, I when I actually sat down to write this post I thought I would be able to pick one, but I simply couldn’t. So, here are my 3 all-time favorites instead 🙂
Theses three are all on the top of my favorite Christmas movie list, and all for their own special reasons.
My first pick is the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, the original Cartoon version. I love this movie because it is short and sweet, and tells a heartwarming story of Christmas spirit. It is good for all ages, and seriously, how cute is the dog Max? When we were kids we used to dress our dog up like him with the single reindeer horn on his head, so there is some nostalgia there too.

My second pick is It’s a Wonderful Life. This is such a classic movie with a heartwarming ending to the story, and I love that it is in black and white. My Christmas Eve tradition is to light up the fireplace, make hot coco, put on our Christmas pajamas, and snuggle up on the couch to watch It’s a Wonderful Life. Being black and white, my two year old isn’t quote biting on this one yet, which is part of the reason for multiple picks as well 🙂

Last but not least, what would Christmas be without buddy the Elf!? You have to love Will Ferrell for his willingness to squeeze into tights and act completely ridiculous, in the best way. It makes me feel old to admit that this is a classic, because I remember when it was brand new! The first day of December I always watch Elf, and probably do at least two more times before Christmas.

White Christmas with Bing Crosby. I remember watching it on the nights my parents were out at holiday events with my 3 sisters and pretending we were the characters! And The Polar Express.
