Seattle Restaurant Week is Here! April 2nd-6th, 9th-13th

I LOVE SEATTLE RESTAURANT WEEK.

How can you not?

First – it is one of my favorite excuses to get out of the house for a girls night or impromptu date on a weeknight.

Second – a 3-course Prix Fixe Menu offered for $32 at ALL restaurants on the list is a straight GUARANTEE that you will have an affordable meal at some of Seattle’s top restaurants.

If you are not familiar with Seattle Restaurant Week (SRW), it is an event organized by the Seattle Times where restaurants put out a special 3-course prix fixe menu at $32 for specified days out of the year. The dates always fall on Sundays-Thursdays as to not interfere with their normal heavy weekend traffic. I absolutely love this event because it encourages Seattleites to break out of their shells and try something new, or it makes otherwise very high-end and expensive restaurants attainable for people who don’t have a huge budget for dining out.

Some of my absolute favorite splurge restaurants participate. These are places where you could easily go out for a date night and have a tab of $300+ for two people. So YES I highly suggest you try them!

Here is my list of best-values:

RN74 – “Global Interpretations of American and French Cuisine”. They once served me something and offered to shave a truffle on top for $80. And now you can have 3-courses for $32. GO!

Chef Associated – Michael Mina

Tilth – “New American cuisine prepared with certified-organic or wild ingredients sourced from as many local farmers we are able to support”

Chef Associated – Maria Hines (James Beard Winner)

Dahlia Lounge – “Fresh Tastes from the Market,” in addition to seasonal entrees inspired by Pacific Northwest ingredients such as Dungeness crab cakes and coffee braised beef short rib.”

Chef Associated – Tom Douglass (his 1st Seattle restaurant)

El Gaucho – Expensive Steakhouse. Needs no explanation, you know the place 🙂

Location – Belltown

Some others I have tried before and think are SRW staples:

Luc A “Chef in the Hat” restaurant. French/American Fusion. Madison Park

Barolo Modern Italian. Super trendy – will book up quickly! South Lake Union

The Carlile Room A new Tom Douglas with a strange 60’s vibe… I like it 🙂 Downtown/Cap Hill

Volterra Italian. Delicious. Good wine list. Ballard

Aqua by El Gaucho An American Seafood sister to El Gaucho. This should be on the spendy list too! AMAZING SEAFOOD and perfect view. Belltown/Waterfront

Toulouse Petit Modern/Creole/Delish. Huge menu and great desserts. Lower Queen Anne

Bastille French/American. I can’t get sick of this place and I love the vibe. Ballard

Desserts at Dahlia Lounge during SRW. Two absolute must-haves there: fresh doughnuts and jelly, and their coconut cream pie!
