June IPSY Glam Bag Review – Purchase or Pass?

I missed a few days of blogging last week, so I am struggling to get a lot of content jammed into the last few days of the month! June has been a very busy month for me at work (boat sales are busy in the summer, who would have thought?! <SARCASM), so often times I come home from work only to continue working instead of having a second to work on my blog.

My IPSY subscription arrival is always a hi-light for me, especially when I am extremely busy like this… if I don’t even have time to dedicate to my side hustle, I sure don’t have the time to go shop for new beauty products! ‘Tis the life of a working mom. And this is the reason, of course why I love IPSY!

First Things First, if you still are not familiar with IPSY, it is a $10 monthly beauty subscription where you once a month receive a shipment of a cute makeup bag and 5 sample beauty products tailored to your specifications (usually about $75 in value). You can also review items and refer friends which earns you bonus points, redeemable for other beauty products. For more info, check out this link HERE!

Okay, so on to this month’s products:

NYX Professional Makeup Whipped Lip & Cheek Souffle – I have only used this as a lip gloss, but I quite frankly love it. “Whipped” is a perfect description for it, because it is very light, fluffy, and refreshing. I love the shade for summer too! PURCHASE NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream, Milan

City Color Cosmetics Bold Brow Eyebrow Powder in Medium – I prefer eyebrow powders to pencils, especially since I have a really nice brow brush I got in a previous glam bag. That being said, even though these are medium/dark colors, it didn’t seem to want to come up much on the brush, leaving it going on lighter and splotchier than I liked. I have a powder brow pallet from NYX that I use and love, and therefore, PASS on this.

BioRepublic SkinCare Aloe Revitalizing Rescue and Green Tea Detox Fiber Masks – I find fiber masks a little odd, but am now getting on board with them since they are a lot cleaner to use than a clay type mask, since all you do is throw out the paper part of the mask when you are done and rub in the remaining moisture into your skin. The Green Tea mask I used immediately, and simply loved. It has that tingly, refreshing feeling and the aroma was very relaxing. The Aloe I am saving for after a super hot day at the beach but feel confident it will be a winner too. PURCHASE! BioRepublic Skincare 4 Sheet Mask Skin Kit (1 of ea.)

theBalm Cosmetics – Balm Springs Blush – Sadly, this one I did not have the chance to try… I opened my Glam Bag in front of my toddler and she somehow swiped this and put it somewhere in my house that I have yet to discover. The shade looked cute, but aside from that I wasn’t able to form an opinion. Did anyone else get this and like it? Either way, here is the link just so you can see what it is all about. theBalm Balm Springs Blush Highlighter
Skone Cosmetics – Insanely Intense Tattooed Waterproof Eyeliner – THIS my friends, is a serious winner for me. If you are looking for a black eyeliner that can stand up to a long day at the beach, or sweltering festival heat without melting off your face, this is it! If anyone can put this stuff to the test, it is me since I spend most my summer days boating for work. Yesterday we had an event so I worked 8am to 10pm, being outside most of the day in 85+ degree heat. Came home and did not take my makeup off, and woke up this morning with perfect bold winged eyeliner still in-place without a smudge! It does go on quite bold, but if you like that look and want a solid liner for summer, PURCHASE PURCHASE PURCHASE! This was my favorite product in the bag. Best Waterproof Liquid Gel Eyeliner Pen – Makeup Bag Essential – High Pigment & Long Lasting – Smudge & Run Proof – Goes on with Ease – (Blackest Black)

Also, I EARNED A BONUS ITEM! (Ten Minute Tan) – Each month I review my products which gets me reward points. Once you have a few hundred reward points, you can cash them in for a nice array of beauty products such as samples from previous months, brushes, and so on. This month I had over 500 points, which was able to earn me a generous sample of Ten Minute Tan! I will be reviewing this product next month in a separate post since I have yet to try it. This is however a more expensive sunless tanner at about $30 a bottle and has awesome reviews online, so I was extra excited for this to be my bonus item! Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan, 5.07 fl. oz.

So, what was in your bags this month? Anything you loved that was different than what I got? I would love to hear it!
