October IPSY Glam Bag

Hello my glam friends! Another month, another IPSY Glam Bag! I realized the other day that I have officially been an IPSY member for over a year now – I remembered as I looked on my shelf and saw I now have TWO October glam bags!

I think last October’s was a little more fun, but I do like this one too.

One thing I wanted to comment on is that people often say the samples they get are so small – having been a subscriber for a year now I am completely swimming in makeup! Though some of the items are sample size, if you stick with the program for a while you seriously get SO MUCH to play with… I don’t think I will ever use all this stuff! Plus, I have a TON of full size brushes that I probably would have never invested in on my own and will use them indefinitely.

IPSY is such a popular subscription that they often have a waiting list, but currently have openings! For a limited time you can sign up and its only $10 a month… more info here if you are interested!

Okay, on to the products, and if I would PURCHASE them in the future, or take a PASS…

Urban Decay – 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion – This eyeliner guys. IS. AMAZING. I would however say this is a solid going out or smoky eye eyeliner… if you like more natural, barely-there looking makeup, this product is not for you! I put some on and gave it just a tiny smudge with my finger and felt like I ended up heading to my work meeting looking like I was headed to the club. I however LOVE thick black smudgy eyeliner for when I get all done up, so I personally love this product and will use it a lot. PURCHASE!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil Perversion 0.04 oz

tarte – deluxe lights, camera, lashesโ„ข 4-in-1 mascara – What can I say, tarte never fails! I can’t say it is my all-time favorite mascara ever, however I could not find a fault in it. Tarte however is a cruelty free, vegan makeup company, so that alone gives them a one-up on many other brands! Purchase. Tarte Cosmetics Lights Camera Lashes Mascara 0.24 oz. Black

MDMflow – Liquid Matte Lipstick in Retro – This, I just did not love.  I didn’t even like it. The consistency seemed runny and it smudged past my lip line when applying. It then was terribly hard to get off, and I didn’t like the shade. Pass.

Marc Anthony – Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Oil Treatment – As a rule, I don’t use hair oils. I have normal hair, but feel like an oil rubbed in can send me in the wrong direction fast. I have been coloring my hair since I was about 20, so I do have lots of damage. I did just a few drops of this on my ends when my hair was towel dry, and was surprised how nice my hair felt – I was not expecting it! Not oily at all, softened me a lot, and tamed my split ends. Purchase! Marc Anthony True Professional Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter (Shampoo & Conditioner Set)

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics – Eyeshadow in Bronzed – This product has me obsessed too! Another vegan/cruelty free brand just totally doing it right. The color can be smudged on as a shadow, or used as a liner if you dip liner brush into water first before applying. I think this is an essential shimmery shade for fall and have been wearing it almost every day! PURCHASE! Eyeshadow – Bronzed – by Dirty Little Secret

So, what did you get in your subscription bags this month? Did you get any of these products and have different thoughts? I would love to hear!
