In my opinion, traditions around the holiday season are one of the best ways we create memories! In the spirit of giving, here are some small things we do as a family that make the holidays special every year.
It has been a huge goal of mine to work on reducing waste in our household this year, and to live a 'green-er' lifestyle! I have found it extremely difficult as a family of three to not put out lots of waste, but these tricks are easy things we have started doing to help reduce the number of items we throw in the trash. With Thanksgiving (and therefore lots of over-indulging ) around the corner, I am making extra sure to mix in some lighter meals over the next few weeks. Though with the tortellini this is surely not a 'low calorie' meal, I think it is a much healthier alternative to a pasta dish smothered in meat and a heavy-duty cream sauce! It however still hits all the fall comfort marks, and is a great vegetarian recipe. I hope you enjoy!
