Barking Frog & Blog Friends

I think one of the especially cool things about blogging is making friends all over the world… It is so fun when I get up in the morning and take a look at my WordPress stats and see that people from Ireland, the U.K., Germany, Argentina, etc. are reading my posts!  It is super cool to connect with so many different people, and learn about their lives and read about all the neat places they visit that I have never been.

So, of course it is extra cool to start chatting online with bloggers and find that you live close to each other, both are foodies, and this past week you both have even visited the same restaurants or events!

Well, this past week Rachel from By the Pounds reached out to me and asked if my family would be willing to meet up with hers in-person… to which I said OF COURSE! We found that we only live about 15 minutes away from each other, and lucky for us, both very close to beloved Woodinville Wine Country. Naturally both being foodies, we decided on the Barking Frog in Woodinville to meet for brunch.

The Barking Frog is one of my fav brunch spots, and is attached to the ever-famous Herbfarm in Woodinville. I had some DELICIOUS Challah Bread french toast, and my daughter had the fanciest little piggies in blankets that I have ever seen. My hubby also ordered the biscuits and gravy, which the waitress suggested he add a piece of fried chicken too (um, DUH he wants friend chicken on that! 🙂 ).

My two takeaways from this post:

  1. Blogging is a fun way to meet people, and don’t be shy to make these connections!
  2. Brunch at the Barking Frog… Yes. If you have never been, do it 🙂

Rachel is a super-foodie who posts a TON of amazing food and cocktail recipes, so be sure to check out her page when you have the chance!

Happy blogging all!

      1. Have you heard of the herbfarm? That is their big $$$ upscale restaurant and barking frog is their little sister next door that has more every day pricing. It’s not 100% farm to table but pretty darn close to it.
