June Recap!

June turned out to be an insanely busy month for me! I had hoped to blog every day, but this past week I have sadly just been non-existent on here. The good news is that boat sales have been amazing! I sold and delivered three boats yesterday alone, for about $350,000 in sales amongst the three. My customers were all SO EXCITED to get boats just in time for the 4th of July holiday and the weather was amazing, so of course I am happy. Sadly, how busy my work has been has left me with absolutely NO time for my blog, so I have skipped quite a few days of posts and interaction. I am literally too busy to even schedule pre-written posts that I have! Being out on the lake in the hot weather for a full day leaves me with little time to eat or rest, and I just get home, chug water, send some emails, and crash in bed with my daughter.

One of my sales from July 1st, an incredibly beautiful Cobalt R30 (30 feet with twin engines and joystick docking)

Despite how crazy things have been, I do feel I was able to get some great blog posts out this month. First of all, I KNOW I got some great recipes out, because they are some of my favorites 🙂 If you missed any of them, here are the ones you HAVE to try:

Pan Seared Scallops With a Bacon Cream Sauce

Blueberry Almond Pound Cake (with Almond Glaze)

EKG Heart Cookies with Royal Icing!

Also, this past month I featured Washington State’s Lake Chelan as a fun destination, and shared some of my favorite things to do over there including wineries to taste at and places to dine out. If you want to check out all of these, just click on the “Visit Lake Chelan” tab on my right side-bar, but here are a few of my favorite destinations over there:

My favorite Washington State Destination – Lake Chelan!

Siren Song Winery Lake Chelan

Dining Out in Chelan – Sorrento’s at Tsillan Cellars

One thing I realized missing about 5 days blogging, is that the less I post, the less variety I was able to get out. I had lots of Lake Chelan posts pre-scheduled, and blogged recipes as I made them, but I felt like I was light on other content. Moving forward into July I want to be sure to bring you guys some great DIY posts, more mommy-life/family kinds of posts, and a beauty product or two, though I am sure I still will not have the opportunity to post daily.

One kind-of different blogging type post I was able to do was this one with a few tips on writing a more condensed blog post, which is something I always think about and find important: Writing a Blog Post that People Will Actually Read

Summer was very late to arrive this year in Seattle, but appears to finally be here. I very much am looking forward to the month of July and spending a lot of time out in the sun soaking up this beautiful weather with friends and running through the sprinklers with my two-year-old!

How was your past month of summer and blogging? Please feel free to leave a link in the comments to your best blog post from the month of June since there is a good chance I missed it, and I love reading them!

Cheers to July!

  1. So glad you re-included your recipes because those scallops look amazing! and WOW that lake is gorgeous! What a pretty place to live!

    1. Thank you! I figure I often times look at stuff on blogs I love then forget about it, so why not re-post in case there was something someone wanted to make but forgot! 🙂
