Let me tell you what friends... making a baby is hard work! So hard that it took all of my energy for the past year, and I had none left to give back to my blog. I am however happy to say that baby is here, healthy, and we are doing great as a family. We are doing well enough that I have got my spark back and am excited to be chipping away at my blog again!
The boating scene is an incredible part of the lifestyle here in the greater Seattle Area. Not only are we lucky to be surrounded by the Puget Sound, but right in the middle of our city sits Lake Union which boasts beautiful waterfront views and places to dine out. Lucky for us boaters, Lake Union has some restaurant gems that feature docks for boaters to pull up to, so you can enjoy a meal or cocktail by water. On this outing we launched our Cobalt R5 in Bellevue and motored over to Lake Union for brunch at Westward Seattle.
Often times I think there must be a more eco-friendly way to go about life. There has to be alternatives to buying everything new, all the time, all this wasteful packaging that goes with these new purchases. I recently came across the "Buy Nothing Project", a community-focused group that encourages giving and sharing on a local basis.
