This lemon blueberry loaf is one I make every summer. These is nothing better than picking fresh blueberries and enjoying them in a home-baked bread! This loaf is particularly easy, and you can dress it up even more by selecting a special pan. This floral one is a Nordic Ware pan I found at Williams Sonoma, but they have tons of other fun ones available on Amazon too!
This week has been heavy. Ok, this year has been heavy, and it is really weighing me down. Just an honest post to check in with you, and share my thoughts and feelings. Now more than ever, we need to check in with each other to make sure our family, friends, and neighbors are okay.
Trying new recipes is the thing to do right now, apparently! But honestly, why not? For us non-essential workers, we are no longer commuting and have hours of extra at-home time right now, even if working a full day at home. So why not take that extra time and turn it into something delicious, like this Monkey Bread recipe? I know you guys have that Costco stock of bulk yeast and flour, haha! Have fun!
Times are so hard right now, and we are all going stir crazy. I realized I have added a few little things to my routine that are offering me a little comfort and sanity, by helping to take care of my mind and body. I liked all my favorites for you to enjoy!
This bread is a super easy one to bake, and requires little attention (at least as far as breads go!). It is the kind you can make in an hour - no need to let it rise overnight. I hope you enjoy this recipe!
With so many closures in place, it may feel difficult to celebrate anything. However, we brainstormed and put together a whole list of fun ways you can celebrate the Easter holiday from the comfort of your own home with your immediate family!
As far as recipes go, I don't think it gets any easier than this easy quiche! This can be used for holidays, brunches, or even just as an easy breakfast to have on hand for the family for the week. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Schools are closed. Everything is closed. Everything is cancelled. Now, families are faced with the struggles of entertaining and educating their children, while staying home to safely isolate. That is why my daughter and I came up with this fun list of twenty (that's right, 2-0) fun ideas to pass time at home this next month or so, while we do the right thing and allow for situations to return to normal. Let's dream, get creative, and have fun!
With all this time spent at home lately, we are attempting to make the most of things with some good home cooking. Not only does some comfort food do the soul good, but it also is pretty darn affordable to make. This Alfredo sauce recipe is mostly milk, butter, and flour... all super cheap ingredients! You can make this to go with pasta, chicken, or even scoop it up with some nice warm bread. It is so creamy and delicious and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Everything sucks right now. Nothing is good. But you know what? It will be. Better times are on their way, and in the meantime, I love you guys!
