Charles Smith is a winemaker out of Walla Walla Washington who produces a diverse lineup of fabulous wines. His "Charles Smith Wines" line includes a handful of very easy and affordable wines, and his Kung Fu Girl Riesling is my favorite for summer sipping. Forgeron Cellars in Walla Walla Washington has an incredible lineup of big, bold Bordeaux style red wines. Our absolute favorite was the Cabernet Sauvignon. They also have a tasting room in Woodinville, only 30 minutes outside of Seattle!
Matthews Winery in Woodinville, WA recently gave their tasting room a face lift, and we stopped by with friends to check it out! It was a beautiful atmosphere with a great lineup of wines to boot. They are participating members in the Woodinville Passport program. We love them because they are open until 6 unlike other wineries in that area that close early, and the atmosphere is very family friendly.
