Enjoying the 4th of July in Bellevue, stay-cation style!

Holidays are always so fun spent with family, but when you have little kids it sure can be stressful! Especially when you add in long travel and wait times to the equation. So, this year for the 4th of July we decided to try a fun staycation in downtown Bellevue to enjoy the festivities and fireworks at close range. We booked a hotel room, walked to the park, swam and ate our hearts out! It was such a perfect 4th of July... if you live in the greater Seattle area be sure to give this a read and give yourself some staycation inspo!

My all-time favorite items for traveling with a baby!

Living across the country from my family and where I grew up naturally puts me in a position to do lots of traveling. Since having kids the amount of travel I do has significantly increased... my daughters are the only grandbabies on my side of the family so I can't keep them hostage here on the west coast! With my first child we didn't muster up the courage to make our first cross-country pilgrimage until she was 8 months old. With our second, it was at 2 months! Here are some of my favorite items that made the whole process that much easier. What I consider travel essentials if you are a parent traveling with a baby!
