2020 was a hard year - so many families coped by finding new ways to enjoy more time safely enjoying nature, and we for sure were one of them! This is the start of the story of our RV purchase, and our goals to sustainably furnish it and bring this old gem back to life.
The Rolling Huts and Methow Tents make up one fantastic "Glamp-Site" in the Methow Valley, that we have been lucky enough to stay at a few times. Since we always enjoy our stay, I decided to write about it for you.
Even tiny vacations can be complicated right now, but we had great luck with a short trip to Kittitas County and hiking Franklin Falls! #pnw #hike #kittitascounty
Our visit to the Hawaiian Big Island was more than I could fit into one post, so here is part 2! This post includes Keahou Bay, Hilo, and the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park in Puna. We saw manta rays, sea turtles, and more, it was fantastic!
As fall approaches and I am already craving warmer weather, I revisit our most recent Hawaii trip to the Big Island! This is part one (of 2) featuring the Kona side of the island. I also included some tips on gear we brought with that made our trip with kids that much easier.
Holidays are always so fun spent with family, but when you have little kids it sure can be stressful! Especially when you add in long travel and wait times to the equation. So, this year for the 4th of July we decided to try a fun staycation in downtown Bellevue to enjoy the festivities and fireworks at close range. We booked a hotel room, walked to the park, swam and ate our hearts out! It was such a perfect 4th of July... if you live in the greater Seattle area be sure to give this a read and give yourself some staycation inspo!
Our Memorial Day weekend this year was the first we have spent in quite some time on the East Coast. We ate all the food, had huge bonfires, stayed in a farmhouse, played with chickens... all the upstate country things that come with my family. How did you spend MDW 2019?
Part 2 of our Memorial Day weekend family trip to Leavenworth in Eastern Washington! We visited the Spirit of America 9/11 Memorial, The Apples and Cotlets factory, and Smallwood's Harvest on Highway 2 before heading back to our KOA campground for a swim.
Part 1: Do you have plans to head to Eastern Washington this Memorial Day Weekend? We have visited and enjoyed Leavenworth there in the past, so I decided to share some of my highlights! #Leavenworth #MemorialDay #EasternWA #camping
Living across the country from my family and where I grew up naturally puts me in a position to do lots of traveling. Since having kids the amount of travel I do has significantly increased... my daughters are the only grandbabies on my side of the family so I can't keep them hostage here on the west coast! With my first child we didn't muster up the courage to make our first cross-country pilgrimage until she was 8 months old. With our second, it was at 2 months! Here are some of my favorite items that made the whole process that much easier. What I consider travel essentials if you are a parent traveling with a baby!
