We just enjoyed a super peaceful camping trip recently at the Cama Beach cabins on Camano Island. When I visit a place so well preserved in nature, I think hard about reducing the amount of trash I bring in and out - it can almost be overwhelming the amount of single use products we bring camping if you do not bring notice to it! With Labor Day weekend being the last big camping weekend of the summer, I thought I would post this now and hopefully inspire some of you to give this easy recipe a try and keep some plastic utensils/plates out of the landfills at the same time. Enjoy!
The older I get, the worse I feel after eating processed grains. We have been trying to swap out whole wheat flour in place of white flour here and there, and it honestly really makes a difference! Not only is it better for you, but I love the depth of flavor it adds too. I hope you give these wheat blueberry pancakes a try and enjoy them! Be sure to pin the recipe for later too 🙂
Not only is this a delicious recipe, but it is a great one if you are trying to live a sustainable lifestyle! How is that possible, you ask? Because instead of tossing out my extra bread, I cube it and save it so that it can be turned into delicious baked French Toast! Sprinkle a few pecans and some brown sugar on top and I am in heaven. Click for the recipe and be sure to pin it for later too!
This pumpkin pancake recipe is a serious keeper - there is nothing better than a pumpkin theme brunch in fall if you ask me!
What a perfect way to kick off fall with a perfect fall recipe! Wait - no pumpkin?! Haha do not worry, plenty of pumpkin recipes are coming, but I also love cinnamon as a fall flavor and thought I would start with something a little more universal. These came about with a craving for those …
Did you know that homemade biscuits are so easy to throw together, and that you can bake them in the time that it takes you to make this sausage gravy? Biscuits and Gravy are such a hearty and delicious meal that make me think of a foggy fall morning where you plan to have a jumbo brunch and snuggle under a blanket on your couch with coffee all morning. This recipe has both ingredients and directions for both parts, but I would save this biscuit recipe and make them as a side for dinner now and again too!
A twist on the plain old banana muffin recipe using sour cream in place of milk. These are quick, easy, and a delicious recipe to start your morning out with! Be sure to pin for later 🙂
This glazed Almond Blueberry Cake is perfect for many things! The recipe is easy to whip up, and the cake is a fabulous addition to a brunch, or dished up as dessert at a summer party out on the patio. Fresh blueberry baked goods are my personal favorite on an early summer morning with a cup of coffee. I hope you enjoy, and don't forget to pin this keeper for later!
This sour cream coffee cake is an absolute win for entertaining. This can absolutely impress as a brunch item, or is a fabulous recipe to use around the holidays. This cake is extremely easy and can be dressed up a little more with a fancy bundt pan. It is so moist and flavorful. The sour cream blends in and adds a savory side to compliment the sweet just perfectly!
A very dense and delicious banana bread recipe. Add walnuts or coconut, or just make it traditional. Banana bread is my favorite warmed with butter or cream cheese on top 🙂
