Let me tell you what friends... making a baby is hard work! So hard that it took all of my energy for the past year, and I had none left to give back to my blog. I am however happy to say that baby is here, healthy, and we are doing great as a family. We are doing well enough that I have got my spark back and am excited to be chipping away at my blog again!
Celebrating my first year as a blogger, and hi-lighting some of my favorite posts along the way. Thank you all for following me here at Abbey Co. and I hope to be checking in with you this time next year with lots more to share!
Being a new blogger, I am still running off a restricted WordPress.com account, but I feel it is time to really start to get my move on over to self-hosted. Who out there has made the transition from WordPress.com to WordPress.org? I would love to get your advice - I plan to do so with a combination of support from Bluehost so I can use their plugins. Advice is welcome and would be greatly appreciated!
I was nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by the Happiest Pixel! I know some people think these awards are silly, but I enjoy participating since it connects bloggers to each other, and there is no harm in that! If you were nominated, do not feel any obligation to participate, but if you would like to, it is a fun way to tell your bloggers a little more about yourself.
Getting readers of course is the ultimate goal of a blogger, so how do you write a blog post that people will actually read? I think the key is realizing the world we live in is busy and over-stimulated. Keep things short and sweet, and focus on your visual content as much as your written. Hopefully this post brings you some helpful advice and tips! ❤
I am just setting up a Bloglovin' account... do any of you other bloggers use it? Thoughts? Would love to follow other bloggers on there if you have it, so drop me a line if you do!
What happens when you and a blog friend live around the corner from each other and like the same restaurants? You meet for Brunch at the Barking Frog of course!
Today marks my first time hitting 30 consecutive days of blogging! I am excited to have hit this accomplishment and want to continue blogging every day. I feel like I have better narrowed down the topics I want to blog about and am working on a schedule for my posts too. Thank you for reading and welcoming me into the world of blogging!
My first time being nominated for the One Lovely Blog award! Thank you for thinking of me Grace Hickson!
