Just because a food is entirely plant-based absolutely does not mean it is flavorless or unfulfilling! But often times people think that about vegetarian cooking, but I think they just don't know where to start! So, I am sharing two of my favorite vegetarian cookbooks that helped spring me into a more vegetarian lifestyle at home.
Life has been crazy lately, but hey when isn't it really?! I have had work events, work travel, a baby's first birthday, a wedding anniversary, and on top of it all we are selling our house and moving! So much stuff going on but it is all good. This summer is flying by at a heartbreaking rate! With a busy job and two kiddos it seems like time is flying by. My baby is already 9 months old, how is that possible?! However the good news is that we have found time for vacations with friends and some boating days on the lake, so there has been lots of fun so far. We love trying new experiences here in the Northwest and becoming Season Ticket Holders with the Seattle Opera was a fantastic decision we made this past year. We loved the experience, but most of all, attending Carmen. I hope this post gives you some interesting info on our experience and that it makes you intrigued about attending the opera too!
Let me tell you what friends... making a baby is hard work! So hard that it took all of my energy for the past year, and I had none left to give back to my blog. I am however happy to say that baby is here, healthy, and we are doing great as a family. We are doing well enough that I have got my spark back and am excited to be chipping away at my blog again!
The boating scene is an incredible part of the lifestyle here in the greater Seattle Area. Not only are we lucky to be surrounded by the Puget Sound, but right in the middle of our city sits Lake Union which boasts beautiful waterfront views and places to dine out. Lucky for us boaters, Lake Union has some restaurant gems that feature docks for boaters to pull up to, so you can enjoy a meal or cocktail by water. On this outing we launched our Cobalt R5 in Bellevue and motored over to Lake Union for brunch at Westward Seattle.
