As fall approaches and I am already craving warmer weather, I revisit our most recent Hawaii trip to the Big Island! This is part one (of 2) featuring the Kona side of the island. I also included some tips on gear we brought with that made our trip with kids that much easier.
Our Memorial Day weekend this year was the first we have spent in quite some time on the East Coast. We ate all the food, had huge bonfires, stayed in a farmhouse, played with chickens... all the upstate country things that come with my family. How did you spend MDW 2019?
Living across the country from my family and where I grew up naturally puts me in a position to do lots of traveling. Since having kids the amount of travel I do has significantly increased... my daughters are the only grandbabies on my side of the family so I can't keep them hostage here on the west coast! With my first child we didn't muster up the courage to make our first cross-country pilgrimage until she was 8 months old. With our second, it was at 2 months! Here are some of my favorite items that made the whole process that much easier. What I consider travel essentials if you are a parent traveling with a baby!
Travel as a family sure isn't easy. There is SO MUCH to remeber to pack, unexpected things you need to be prepared for, and of course there is always something you didnt think of that you end up learning the hard way! Packing our family for an upcoming Hawaii trip, I thought I would make a list of some of the things I consider essential to help families with packing for their future beach vacations. Bon Voyage!
