Car seat safety in our culture seems pretty cut and dry, and the majority of people understand it. However, a recent (almost drowning) emergency at work made me realize that safety with our kids around water is not as well outlined. As a person working in the marine industry, I do feel a strong obligation to advocate for water safety for all the children out there - boating or not! This post contains good information on when kids should wear life jackets, and how to find the right one to fit them. Thank you for reading, and please do share with other parents out there!
Tunnel Hill Winery is located on the South Lake Shore side of Lake Chelan. Their grounds feature a beautiful landscape with cobblestone houses that I find to be immensely charming. More info on the winery and visiting in post!
Let me start by saying that SeaFair weekend is one of my most favorite weekends of the year here in the Northwest. There is nothing more majestic than watching the Blue Angels ZOOM over Seattle with Mount Rainier in the background. However, this almost 100 degree weather forecasted for Sea Fair weekend has me a little nervous. Here is my easy 4-step list of ways to keep you and your friends safe this Sea Fair weekend. Happy Fleet Week everyone!
Another Lake Chelan feature - this time I am sharing one of my favorite brunch spots! Once you discover Sorrento's Ristorante you will become a regular when in Chelan, because you just can't beat the ambiance! Oh yeah... they do brunch 😉
A day in the (boat) life on Lake Washington - my job selling luxury boats and yachts with Seattle Boat Company! Read more for info on our boats, and also a fun event we have coming up that I would love to open up to Seattle-area boating enthusiasts!
I don't know how it took us so long to discover this BEAUTIFUL winery on Lake Chelan, but I am so glad we gave them a chance! We visited Siren Song on a trip to Lake Chelan in the spring and were absolutely enamored by the ambiance, entertainment, views, and of course the wine! More details and where exactly to find them included in the details of this post. Cheers!
