On the 5th day of my Christmas blog theme, I bring you my favorite Christmas destination; Leavenworth Washington! Leavenworth is a small Bavarian town that has wonderful food and fun activities, especially around the Christmas holiday!
Pumpkin picking is a favorite fall tradition for me... there is nothing better than putting on some big old mud boots and a big sweater and heading to the farm to pick out your own pumpkins to carve! This year we tried Bob's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch in Snohomish WA and had a blast!
Have you ever wondered what the benefit is to donating to Goodwill centers, aside from the ability to clean out your garage? I just had an incredibly eye-opening experience where I was able to tour the Goodwill Milgard Opportunity Center in Tacoma, Washington, where I saw first-hand all the incredible programs that Goodwill has in place attempting to get local people trained and into jobs! It was an eye-opening experience to say the least - so many incredible programs! The plus, was afterwards we were invited to their Halloween store... all Halloween and Costumes, all year!
It has been a great start to birthday month (September) already! For Labor Day weekend we went camping with friends, and were truly so lazy that I don't have anything exciting to share from it... we just sat by the river, bbq'ed, and slept in... it was a much needed opportunity to recharge for sure. …

Cairdeas Winery is a cute tasting room on the Manson side of Lake Chelan, just around the corner from Benson Vineyards. Their wines are delicious, affordable, and their view is spectacular! If you are checking out wineries near Manson, I would absolutely add Cairdeas to your list!
